Taken Muses

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
As stated in the rules, anyone can app a muse regardless if they are here already or not. This is simply for administrative purposes to keep track of the different journal names. And to keep the mod from going less insane. It also helps to keep track of original characters so people can have one post they come to for info to get to characters if they are curious.

Rules and such

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Activity: There is no maximum number of muses a person can have, however a writer must post at least once a month with at least one muse to be considered active. Yes, sometimes this rule will be fairly lenient as the mod tends to get spacy on things, but this is one rule that the mod would like to adhere to as much as possible. There is a minimum word count of 100 words and anything that is over 500 words must be put behind an LJ-cut. You are welcome to post the first 200-300 words of the prompt as a teaser and cut the rest. Posting is done at [info]tudors_prompts.

Hiatuses: You can't have them! Kidding. Just please be open and honest when it comes to needing a hiatus. The mod will not rip your head off for taking a hiatus, just as long as it is known so you aren't kicked out for inactivity.

Posting: When posting a muse must include their full name, the prompt they are responding to and the word count. If you choose to put the response in your journal, please post a link in [info]tudors_prompts as well.

Prompts: All prompts are going to be associated with the Tudor era. They are going to jump all over, but if a member of the Tudor dynasty was on the throne, a prompt is going to be done from that period. So we are talking a good century at least. Prompt ideas are welcome, but all prompts will be posted and approved by the mod. How many and how often could vary.

Muses: Your muses do not have to be from the Tudor Era, they do not have to be fandom based, they can be original. Any fandom is welcome, any time period is welcome, any character is welcome. More than one version of the same muse is welcome as this is a writing/prompts community and not a role play community. This does not mean that role play is not welcome to flesh out prompts or add to writing, but different people have a different version of a muse so more than one is allowed. But also with that being said, the mod can not and WILL NOT force a player to recognize another muse and/or their storyline if they do not want to do so. Work things out between one another, we're all adults here.

Rules: There aren't really all that many. Try to adhere to the posting and activity guidelines. The main rule, however, is fairly simply. Don't be a douche nozzle. Just be respectful of your fellow players, especially if you play the "same" muse. We all are going to interpret muses differently than someone else does because we are different people. If you don't like a particular portrayal, the answer is very easy. Don't read their prompts. If you see who it is, just ignore and move to the next. Since there is no cohesive timeline we're working with here, it's all good. There will be a friending post so that you can add all muses to your journal and keep up with the prompts when posted. Please be sure to friend this mod journal as well.

Membership: The mod reserves the right to reject anyone if they do not think the player or a muse would be good for the group. This is extremely rare, so no worries. The mod also reserves the right to take a muse away if you, in character, start breaking the douche nozzle rule. The mod also reserves the right to kick your ass from here to the end of the universe and out of the game if you start breaking the douche nozzle rule and don't straighten the shit out. All in all, if you are nice to others and are respectful of the mod, you're golden.

Contacting the Mod: I have an open door policy when it comes to things. If you need to contact me, go ahead. If I don't get back to you within three-four days, contact me again. I try and at least respond as soon as possible since I have my email up all day, but sometimes I get busy and I forget. Just remind me of something, especially if it's a major thing.
